Ingredients
- milk - 500 ml
- honey - 2.5 tablespoon
- sesame seeds toasted - 3 tablespoon
- potato starch - 1.5 tablespoon
- salt - 1 pinch
- vanilla - 0.5 teaspoon
Main Ingredient:
milk
Preparation
- Toast the sesame seeds in a dry pan over medium heat for 2–3 minutes, stirring often, until they lightly brown and become very fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- In a small bowl, mix the potato starch with 4 tablespoons of cold milk until there are no lumps.
- Pour the remaining milk into a saucepan, add a pinch of salt and heat over medium heat until hot but not yet boiling.
- Add the milk-and-starch mixture to the saucepan, whisking constantly. Cook for 1–2 minutes over low heat until the milk thickens slightly – it should have the consistency of a thin pudding.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat, add the honey, vanilla and 2 tablespoons of the toasted sesame seeds. Mix thoroughly.
- Pour the dessert into small glasses or bowls. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until well chilled.
- Before serving, sprinkle the top with the remaining toasted sesame seeds. Serve well chilled.
