Spanish Dessert with Oranges, Honey and Greek Yogurt Recipe
This simple dessert combines the sweetness of oranges with thick yogurt and honey, creating something between a light cream and a fruit salad. In Spanish homes, bowls of fruit and yogurt like this are often served after lunch instead of heavy cakes. The taste is a bit like a Mediterranean version of a yogurt dessert, but with a distinct citrus note.

Ingredients
- yogurt - 400 g
- oranges - 3 piece
- honey - 3 tablespoon
- almonds flakes or slivers - 3 tablespoon
- cinnamon ground - 0.5 teaspoon
- orange zest finely grated - 1 teaspoon
Main Ingredient:
oranges
Preparation
- Toast the almonds in a dry pan over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring often, until lightly golden and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
- Wash the oranges thoroughly, scald them with boiling water and pat dry. From one orange, finely grate a thin layer of zest (only the orange part) on a fine grater.
- Peel all the oranges, removing the thick peel and white pith, then cut the flesh into cubes or segments, trying not to lose the juice.
- In a bowl, mix the yogurt with 2 tablespoons of honey, the cinnamon and the grated orange zest. Taste and add more honey if needed.
- Divide half of the oranges between 4 glasses or small bowls, spoon half of the yogurt on top, then add the remaining oranges and finish with the remaining yogurt.
- Drizzle the top with the remaining 1 tablespoon of honey and sprinkle with the toasted almond flakes. Serve immediately or chill in the fridge for 20–30 minutes.
Storage
In fridge:
1 days
Freezing:
No
Deser najlepiej zjeść tego samego dnia, bo pomarańcze puszczają sok. Jeśli zostanie, przechowuj w lodówce do następnego dnia – migdały mogą zmięknąć, ale smak nadal będzie dobry.
